About This Guide
This guide tracks the legal status of sports betting across all 50 US states and Washington D.C. Following the Supreme Court's 2018 decision to overturn PASPA (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act), states gained the authority to legalize sports betting individually.
Currently, 40 jurisdictions offer some form of legal sports betting, with 31 allowing online/mobile wagering.
